Amy Malkin is the Founder and Owner of Malkin Project Senior Living Consulting, where she leverages nearly four decades of senior living experience to support assisted living homes with compliance, training, operations, and quality-improvement strategies. With a career built on leadership, advocacy, and hands-on operational excellence, Amy is dedicated to helping providers strengthen their systems and elevate the level of care they deliver.
Amy serves as the Chairperson of the Arizona Falls Prevention Coalition, leading statewide collaboration among EMS providers, hospitals, and senior living communities to improve fall-prevention outcomes for older adults. She also serves on the Board of Examiners of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers, contributing her regulatory and operational expertise to support Arizona’s long-term care profession.
Previously, Amy served for several years on the Arizona Health Care Association (AHCA) Board of Directors and continues to remain actively involved through multiple committees. In addition to her consulting work, Amy is the Executive Director of Arroyo Gardens Independent and Assisted Living in Green Valley, AZ, where she continues her lifelong commitment to resident-centered care.
Amy founded the Malkin Project to help bridge gaps in knowledge, strengthen regulatory understanding, and empower senior living operators with the tools, training, and support they need to thrive.

Sara Malkin, BSN, RN, brings over a decade of dedicated senior living experience and clinical expertise to the Malkin Project. As a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, Sara combines a deep understanding of resident-centered care with the technical and clinical skills necessary to navigate the complexities of modern healthcare environments.
Throughout her ten-year career in senior living, Sara’s experience has spanned the full spectrum of care, beginning with hands-on foundational work as a caregiver and activity assistant before transitioning into professional nursing in acute hospital settings. This evolution from the bedside to the clinical frontline allows her to understand the daily operational challenges of senior living while maintaining the high clinical standards required for regulatory compliance and resident safety.
A graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Science, Sara’s approach is rooted in a holistic understanding of resident needs. Her clinical rigor and history of advocacy for vulnerable groups allow her to provide Malkin Project clients with invaluable insights into survey readiness, policy implementation, and staff training.
Sara joined the Malkin Project to help senior living providers bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and clinical excellence. She is passionate about empowering teams with the knowledge and resources they need to ensure every resident receives safe, high-quality, and dignified care.
